Well some friends are going to Dubai next week, and my friend's boyfriend's birthday was last night. Her plan was to surprise him with a Ferrari Racing Experience track day while they were there, it was booked however. So as a conciliation she rented him an R8 v10 for a day instead.
Not bad at all. Though an R8 on public roads vs Ferrari track day is still kind of a let down.

Seriously, how affluent do you have to be to say "Yeah, I think my BF just needs to ride around in high end exotic sports cars for the day. It's not much, but I hope it's the thought that counts!"

It's a birthday gift, sheesh. And they're on vacation.
You've never gone to Mexico and went quading in the jungle, or scuba diving? Same idea, it's the experience of something you wouldn't do in your typical day-to-day.

According to the internet, you have to be roughly $700-1000 affluent to rent an R8 V10. Damn 1% 10% 25% 49%ers!
